The 11 Reang girls of refugee camps who were picked up at Chandrapur early this month have been reportedly sent to outside the state. Interestingly there has been no reaction either from the police or the refugee leaders till date over the issue. The 11 BRU girls were taken into the custody of the Social Welfare department run home at Abhaynagar early this month. Two days after the development the Home authority handed over all the rescued girls to their guardians. The police didn’t investigate the matter in depth to reveal the reason behind the episode. Reports from refugee Camps said these girls were taken to outside the state luring lucrative jobs by a racket. According to the report around 1500 Bru girls have already been taken to outside the state especially in Hyderabad and Bangalore by alluring of a good future. Now they are forced to work in beauty parlors or spa outlets with less payment. Notable that around 25 girls of the refugee camps were detained at Kanchanpur motorstand way back in 2016 also but investigation into the incident had not made any headway due to lack of initiative by the government. Despite the exodus of girls from the refugee camps cash dole and relief materials are being distributed among all the refugee inmates. If a proper investigation is carried out many heart rendering episodes will come to the light.
