The Tripura government has decided to vaccinate 55% of the total 45,432 health workers in the first phase of vaccination which will be inaugurated by the chief minister frin Agartala Town Hall on Saturday. The state has received 56,500 doses for the vaccination of health workers in the first phase. “The dose which we have received from the center only 55 percent of the Health Workers. The process requires two doses on the interval of 28 days. Therefore we have to keep the doses on stock for them” said cabinet minister Ratan Lal Nath. “Once the state receives another consignment of vaccines from the left out 45 percent of the health staff will be covered in the vaccination process. We have already distributed 55,820 doses of vaccines among the eight district of the state” added Mr Nath. The vaccination will start at 152 session sites selected across the state and a total of 302 vaccinators are selected for the process. There would be a total team of 980 members including Health, Civil, and Home staffs.
