Amidst ongoing war of words between the ruling BJP leaders senior BJP leader and MLA Ramprasad Paul on Sunday met with the national president JP Nadda in his residence at New Delhi yesterday. Although “It was a courtesy call on the occasion of New Year” said Ramprasad Paul but political analysts see this is yet another step towards the changing scenario of state politics. MLA Paul who has camped at new Delhi, earlier met with the state observer vinod sonkar in a similar courtesy call and informed in a social media post. The recent activities by some of the decedent MLAs including former health minister Sudip Roy Barman, Sushanta Chowdhury, Ashish Kr Saha, Ashish Das and few others has left the party on the backfoot. The party leadership hasve expressed their dissatisfaction over the role of some of the MLAs and labeled them as rebels. Meanwhile in an another development it’s also learned that state observer of BJP Vinod Sonkar likely to arrive in Tripura on January 6. He would be staying for few days holding meetings with the MLAs and party leaders – workers.
