Names Of All 10323 Teachers Are Nowhere In The Judgment Of The SC Or The HC: JMC

According to the 10323 agitating teachers joint movement committee (JMC) leadership, the names of all 10323 teachers are nowhere in the judgment of the Supreme Court or the High Court. The number of those who have been sued for challenging their jobs is by no means more than four and a half hundreds. The  joint leadership of the agitating teachers thinks that the Education and Law Department of the then Left Front government has created such a big problem by misleading the cabinet and dragging all the teachers. So they will go to the office of the state education directorate office on January 12. Seek legal explanation as to why they have been sacked as per any order of the High Court or the Supreme Court. If the 10323 teacher leadership does not get any justified response from the education department in this regard, they have clearly stated today that they will go for a bigger movement in the next step. They also asked the state cabinet to reconsider their dismissal from a legal point of view and bring them back to work as soon as possible. Standing in front of the agitation stage of 10323 teachers in the capital this afternoon, the joint movement committee leadership further said that their agitation will continue till the state government takes them back to their jobs.
Incidentally, 35 days have passed since the teachers’ strike. So far, 81 dismissed teachers have died prematurely due to various reasons. Rumi Debbarma, a teacher of Khowai, also passed away yesterday. He eats poison himself and also poured poison in the face of his minor son. The deceased’s husband is also a 10323 retrenched  teacher. They had been suffering from mental depression for a long time after the dismissal. When the body of the deceased was taken away from the GB Hospital in the capital this afternoon, the people of the whole village broke down in tears. Even in the Dharna Mancha of the city center of the capital, there was only a roll of tears all day long. JMC leaderships tried to bring Rumi Debbarma;s body from GB Hospital to the city center  and the police did not allow them to pay homage to the bereaved teachers. The entire city center compound was surrounded by a large force of police TSR under the direction of the top levels. In protest, the teachers blocked the road for a long time from 12 noon.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath told the media today that 10,323 teachers have lost their jobs on the instructions of the Supreme Court. The BJP government did not terminate them from their jobs. So his government has no responsibility. If they want to get a job, they have to get a job through interview. The state government is taking about five and a half thousand posts with age exemption. He has requested the retrenched teachers to take jobs in those posts through interviews.
