Tripura Health Service: Tapan Chakraborty Once Again Writes Open Latter To CM

Former health minister and incumbent chief whip of the opposition CPI (M) in the state assembly Tapan Chakrabory once again has demanded immediate appointment of doctors on ad hoc basis to posts vacant health department. In a letter addressed to the chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb, the CPI (M) chief whip referred to the letter addressed by leader of the opposition Manik Sarkar to chief minister and the latter’s reply to it . 
Chakraborty said that, in 1978 there was 237 community Health Sub-Center. Till 2017 it was increased to 1134. There were only 29 primary health center in tripura. Till 2017 it was increased to 96. “According to data provided by the state government in the assembly session of 3rd September 2019 there are altogether 1050 Allopethic Doctors, and 2269 nurses are there in the health department. But according to the WHO and NITI AAYOG guidelines 1:1000 doctors- patients and 1:500 Nurses-Patents is the must, respectively. You must give attention in this sector in priority basis” “Till 2016 according to the official data Tripura has much batter figures Nationally in terms of Child Death, Normal Birth-Death Ratio. Government should keep faith on the doctors, Nurses and Health Workers” Tapan writes in his latter to CM. “In last 33 months 4 health secretary took charges and than resigned. How can you run the service in this way? Hope you will take decision to upgrade the health service for the interest of the public. Otherwise why public should keep faith on government?” added Tapan Chakraborty
