Police of Damcherra police station has been succeeded to seized huge quantity of Drug.
The police seized 1 kg 300 grams of heroin in 100 soap boxes during a search at Damcherra Naka point on the way from Assam to Tripura under North Tripura District.
A youth belongs from outside the state has also been arrested with the drug.
North Tripura District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty said that the market value of the seized heroin worth Rs 10 crore.
According to the report security forces started checking at Damcherra Naka Point on Saturday morning.
At that time, the police detained a white colored car and searched it. During search a total of 1 kg 300 grams of heroin has been seized which was stored in 100 soap boxes in the secret chamber of the car.
The driver of the car belongs from Karimganj district of Assam. The driver named Khalil Uddin has been arrested.
The police of Damcherra police station started investigation of the incident.
