24,033 Jobs In 5 Years Tenure: Tripura Minister Placed Data

Ruling BJP Government of Tripura gives 24,033 jobs in their 58 months tenure. Minister of Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this in a press conference in Civil Secretariat on Thursday.

Minister Sushant Chowdhury also said that:

“After the establishment of the current government in 2018, approval has been received from the finance department to fill up a total of 41 thousand 949 vacancies. Out of that 24 thousand 33 vacant posts have been filled” 

“Since the establishment of the present government in 2018 till December 16, 2022, a total of 41 thousand 949 vacancies have been approved by the finance department. Among them there are 17 thousand 687 regular posts. 1 thousand 329 people have been employed in die-in-harness. 8 thousand 13 people have been employed on contract basis. 5 thousand 879 people have been recruited through out sourcing. Of the 41 thousand 949 vacancies approved by the Finance Department, 24 thousand 33 vacancies have already been filled. Among remaining vacancies there are about 5000 vacancies under JRBT, 6000 vacancies under Special Executive, there are close to 3,000 who have passed TET. 1 thousand police personnel will be appointed. All these vacancies are in process of filling up”

 

“After the establishment of the present government in Secretariat and State Assembly , 20 people have got jobs so far, 19 people have got jobs in Raj Bhavan, 165 people have got jobs in General Administration SA, 17 people have got jobs in Election Office, 10 people have got jobs in Law Office, 281 people Jobs in Revenue Office, 184 people have been employed in general administration. 8 people got jobs in Department of Economics and Statistics, 3 thousand 279 people got jobs in Home Department, 40 people got jobs in Transport Department, 51 people got jobs in Cooperative Department, 677 people in TSECL, 108 people in Health and Family Welfare Department, 3 thousand 858 people in Health Department, 49 people in information and technology department, 27 people in public welfare department, 72 people in scheduled caste welfare department, 15 people in food department, 67 people in industry and commerce department, 21 people in fisheries department, 306 people in agriculture department, 177 people in animal resource development department, 742 people in forest department, 3 thousand 697 people in RD department, 128 people in RD panchayat, 61 people in science and technology department, 94 people in urban development department, 1 thousand 139 people in higher education department, Education Secondary 2 thousand 186 people, social welfare and social education department 46 people, youth welfare and sports department 15 people, drinking water and health provision department 825 people, tourism department 25 people, information and technology department 79 people got jobs. Several people got jobs in other departments”

“The opposition, especially the Congress and CPIM, are promoting that government jobs have been stopped during the current government. However, during the Left Front government from 2013 to 2017, a total of 13,657 people have been given jobs. And during the current government, it has been given double jobs. 177 people in animal resource development department, 742 people in forest department, 3 thousand 697 people in RD department, 128 people in RD panchayat, 61 people in science and technology department, 94 people in urban development department, 1 thousand 139 people in higher education department, education secondary 2 thousand 186 46 people got jobs in Public, Social Welfare and Social Education Department, 15 people in Youth Welfare and Sports Department, 825 people in Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, 25 people in Tourism Department, 79 people in Information and Technology Department”.

Notably BJP promised 50,000 jobs per year in their Vision document before 2018 Assembly Election.

There are approximately only two months left to complete its five years tenure.
