3 women smugglers from outside the state were arrested by the railway police while trying to smuggle cannabis from Tripura.
15 kg 700 grams of dry ganja was recovered.
Teliamura GRP police received information that 3 women will cross to Bihar with ganja from Teliamura Trishabari railway station by Rani Kamalavati Express.
Based on that information, Teliamura GRP police started searching. As usual, as soon as the three women arrived at the Trishabari railway station, the GRP police got suspicious and arrested the three women and brought them to the GRP police station.
Due to the lack of female police in Teliamura GRP Police, women police were taken from Teliamura police station and searched the bodies of the three women and seized a total of 15 kg 700 grams of dry ganja from various secret places of the body.
Along with that, 3 women named Asha Devi (32), Rani Devi (40) and Runu Devi (35) were arrested.
It is known that they belongs from Bihar. Moreover, according to GRP police sources, The estimated black market value of the seized ganja is around Rs 80,000.
