Seven months after Tripura reported its first COVID-19 related death on June 9, the state topped the list among all eight states of the Northeast region with a fatality rate of 1.13 percent on November 7. From registering first novel coronavirus positive case on April 6 to a total of above 31000 COVID-19 positive cases at the moment, with 363 deaths and 29,775 recovered patients, Tripura has so far maintained a recovery rate of close to 96% as per government data. Tripura’s mortality rate now stands at the top with 1.13 %, followed by Sikkim with 1.06 %, Meghalaya with 0.89 %, Manipur with 0.76 %, Assam with 0.55%, Nagaland with 0.38% and Arunachal Pradesh with 0.28%. Mizoram reports single COVID-19 related death so far. There are Total 1199 covid19 active patients are there in the state. Infection rate is 6.63 percent. State registered 2 more fresh covid19 deaths in last 24 hours as on Saturday morning, shows official data.
