Leader of the opposition in Tripura Manik Sarkar directly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited Tripura and held rally in Agartala on Sunday.
Opposition leader Manik Sarkar criticized PM Modi while addressing a rally organized by the All India Democratic Women’s Association Tripura state committee, in front of the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in the capital Agartala on Monday.
Speaking in the rally Sarkar said:
“The Prime Minister’s rally did not meet the target, nor did it come close. Even one percent of the total population was not present. Women were also very insignificant in number. Which will not be more than one or two percent. There was no enthusiasm among the people”
“Prices of goods are increasing across the country due to Modi government’s apocalyptic policies to protect the interests of capitalists. The most significant thing is that the prices of goods in Tripura state are increasing many times more than the prices of goods are increasing in different states of the whole country. And in this situation, even going to the fair price shop, people are not getting the right stuff. Because the concerned department is run by BJP. And the women of every house are getting this experience”
“Even women are not able to go to the market because of lack of income. Tripura was at the top during the Left Front government in terms of REGA works. As a result, the condition of the villages, hills changed. At present it does not work more than 30-32 days. The information presented by the government is completely wrong. Rather, the leaders of the Mandal are putting their steps on them again. The wages of those who worked before the last Durga Puja have not yet been paid”
“Today, Narendra Modi came to Tripura and gave a loud speech. But does he keep the news of Tripura? The Prime Minister has read what he has written. Whether this could be the responsibility of a prime minister?”
“The fascist government has launched an attack on the people from the beginning. This government wants people to leave opposition parties to work with them and carry their flag”
In the context of the ceremony held in the name of Griha Prabesh, the opposition leader said that the houses provided by this government after being established in the state are the houses provided by the previous government i.e. the houses provided in 2011 and 2016. The demand was collected from the center by the then government. But the current government came and tried to cut the list of names. Although the name was announced, the name could not be chosen. Now when the house money is being given then the mandal leaders are sharing to take 15 to 20 thousand out of it. Two out of four rounds of money are said to leave the Left Front and join the BJP, as well as go to the ruling party’s rally and meeting. Otherwise, the vote is coming. The remaining money for the house will not be available.
“40-55 percent houses have not been built yet. And the Prime Minister came and gave a speech. He not said anything on the 10323 sacked teachers issue . The Prime Minister did not say anything about the fact that the seventh pay commission was not met”
“Women have to play a big role in the upcoming assembly elections to defeat the BJP government” added Manik Sarkar.
