6 Tripura Police Officers Received President Award On 77th Independence Day

On the occasion of Independence Day 2023, 6 police officers and personnel of the state have been awarded various titles with the approval of the President of India. 

The recipients of Police Medal for Meritorious Service are given DIGP Krishnandu Chakraborty, Naib Subedar Raju Das, Habildar Pawan Debnath, Head Constable Babul Ghosh, Assistant Commandant Sudarshan Das and Naib Subedar Pintu Das. 

Besides, the recipients of Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service will be awarded the medals at the Republic Day 2024 ceremony. 

Habildar (GD) Samar Murasingh of TSR 9th Battalion awarded Republic Day Police Medal for Meritorious Service 2022 by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha at the 77th Independence Day celebrations at Assam Rifles Maidan today.

Moreover, IPS SP (SB) Shankar Debnath, currently working as AIGP (Headquarters) Tripura, received the Outstanding Asuchana Kushalta Medal in 2021 in recognition of his special contribution at work. 

Chief Minister presented the award to AIGP Shankar Debnath. At the same time, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha gave special awards to 3 officials of the Forest Department in recognition of their special contribution in the workplace. 

In this, Forester of the year has been awarded to Forester Priyalal Sen of FPU Sadar. Forest Ranger Sukant Sarkar of Rajnagar WI received the Banaratna Award and Forester Jailal Jamatia of Killa Bit received the Best Partner Forestry Director Award.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister awarded the Best Forest Range, Second Best Forest Range and Third Best Forest Range for 2021-22. 

Korbook Forest Range of Gomati district got the best forest range award. Forester Jontu Majumdar received the award. 

Ambassa Forest Range of Dhalai district got the second best forest range award. Range Officer Anant Malakar accepted the award. The third best forest range was awarded to Damchhara Forest Range of Uttar district. Range Officer Prabir Das accepted the award.

8 NCC cadets from Tripura participated in the Republic Day Camp and Prime Minister’s Rally held in New Delhi in 2023 and displayed special skills and achievements. 

The Chief Minister handed over medals and certificates to them at the ceremony today. 

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister presented medals to Senior Under Officer Prajyoti Das, Under Officer Piyali Deb, Sergeant Purba Sinha and Cadet Deva Sinha for Sainik Camp, New Delhi in 2022.

 Besides, the Chief Minister gave awards to Under Officer Saurabh Das, Corporal Bipas Sinha, Under Officer Shuvranil Chakraborty and Cadet Rahel Kalai for the Republic Day Camp in New Delhi this year.
