ADB Team Meets Tripura CM Over TULIP Project

An official delegation from the Asian Development Bank held a meeting with Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha in Agartala on Friday to discuss key urban development initiatives in the state.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the proposed ADB-funded “Tripura Urban Livability Improvement Project (TULIP),” which aims to improve urban infrastructure and public services in Tripura.

The ADB mission was led by Manoj Sharma, Director of Water and Urban Sector at ADB, along with other senior officials including Sorin Chung, Urban Development Specialist, Bhavesh Kumar, Senior Project Officer, and Bing, Safeguard Specialist.

Senior officials from various departments of the Tripura government also attended the meeting, which was held at the TIFT Conference Hall in Agartala.

According to official sources, the upcoming TULIP project will be implemented jointly by the Agartala Municipal Corporation, Tripura Urban Development Authority and the Jal Board.

Earlier on Thursday, the ADB delegation visited and inspected the ongoing MBB College Lake development project as well as the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) project being executed under the Agartala Smart City Mission.

The visiting delegation was accompanied during the inspection by the Secretary of the Urban Development Department, the Commissioner of TUDA, the CEO of Agartala Smart City Limited, and other senior government officials.
