China Encroachment Rumours Baseless, Arunachal Home Minister Says Indian Border Completely Secure

Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung has categorically rejected reports claiming that Chinese troops have entered Indian territory in the Taksing sector of Upper Subansiri district, describing the allegations as "completely false" and the result of misleading social media rumours.

Speaking to reporters during the Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorations on Sunday, Natung said there has been no intrusion by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) anywhere along Arunachal Pradesh's frontier.

The minister stressed that India's border remains under constant surveillance, with security personnel maintaining round-the-clock vigilance. He expressed complete confidence in the Indian Army's operational readiness and said no foreign force would be allowed to violate India's territorial integrity.

According to Natung, the reports circulating online have no factual basis and are intended only to create unnecessary confusion among the public.

Border Villages Stand Firmly With Indian Army

Highlighting the role of residents living near the international boundary, Natung said the people of Arunachal Pradesh have always stood shoulder to shoulder with the Indian Army

He noted that border communities remain deeply committed to protecting the country's sovereignty and are prepared to make every sacrifice required in the national interest.

Clarification Comes After NWS Allegations

The minister's statement follows allegations made by the Nah Welfare Society (NWS), which claimed that Chinese military activities near the Taksing sector have steadily increased over the past 15 years.

The organisation alleged that Chinese military infrastructure and forward positions have gradually expanded closer to the Line of Actual Control (LAC). It also stated that memorandums highlighting these concerns had previously been submitted to constitutional authorities and public representatives.

The claims gained widespread attention on social media, triggering concern among local residents before the state government issued its clarification.

India Reiterates Arunachal Is Integral Part Of The Nation

India and China share a 1,129-kilometre border in Arunachal Pradesh. Beijing continues to claim the state as part of what it refers to as "South Tibet," a position India has consistently and unequivocally rejected.

The Government of India has repeatedly maintained that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral, inseparable and sovereign part of the Republic of India, reaffirming that there is no compromise on the country's territorial integrity.
