CM Dr Manik Saha Congratulates Suvendu Adhikari After Bengal Oath

Manik Saha on Saturday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari after he took oath as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal, calling the development a “historic victory” for the Bharatiya Janata Party and the people of Bengal.

In a message posted on social media, the Tripura Chief Minister said the BJP’s rise to power in West Bengal was not merely an electoral success, but the culmination of years of struggle, sacrifice and dedication by thousands of party workers across the state.

“Heartiest congratulations to Suvendu Adhikari ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal. The tears, sacrifices and relentless struggle of countless BJP workers in Bengal have finally received recognition today,” Manik Saha wrote.

Calling the BJP government in Bengal the beginning of a “new political era,” Saha said the formation of a double-engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi would accelerate development, peace and governance in the state.

“The strength of the Centre and the aspirations of Bengal’s people will now move forward together,” he stated.

The Tripura Chief Minister also expressed hope that the new government led by Suvendu Adhikari would fulfil the dreams of building a prosperous and developed “Sonar Bangla.”

Highlighting the symbolic importance of the swearing-in ceremony, Manik Saha noted that the new BJP government took oath on the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, describing it as a moment of deep historical significance for Bengal.

Quoting Tagore, Saha said, “When religion calls with the sound of the conch, remain calm, humble and dedicate your life,” adding that the poet’s words had found renewed meaning in Bengal’s political transformation.

He further claimed that the ideological struggle initiated by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had finally reached its destination with the BJP forming government in Bengal.

“Today, the BJP government has taken oath in the land of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. I feel proud to witness this historic occasion,” he said.

Manik Saha also acknowledged the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP central leadership for the party’s victory in West Bengal.

Expressing confidence in the new administration, the Tripura Chief Minister said Suvendu Adhikari’s leadership would help fulfil the hopes and aspirations of Bengal’s people and pave the way for a stronger and more developed state.
