Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday felicitated Commonwealth Games champion Asmita Dey, congratulating her on scripting history by winning India's first-ever gold medal in Judo at the Commonwealth Games (thecgf).

.Asmita called on the Chief Minister following her landmark victory. She was accompanied by Sports Minister Tinku Roy and Tripura BJP President Abhishek Debroy. During the meeting, Dr. Saha honoured the champion with a traditional Uttariya and presented her with a bouquet as a symbol of appreciation.
