Cockroach Janata Party Founder Abhijit Dipke Leads Major Protest in Delhi

A large-scale agitation unfolded at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi as members and supporters of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) gathered to voice outrage over the alleged NEET examination paper leak and a series of reported irregularities in competitive recruitment and entrance tests. Demonstrators repeatedly called for the removal of Union Education Minister Ministry of Education Dharmendra Pradhan, accusing the government of failing to ensure transparency and fairness in the examination system.
The protest drew a substantial turnout, with students and youth forming the overwhelming majority of participants. Several parents and senior citizens also joined the movement, expressing solidarity with candidates affected by examination-related controversies.
An unusual incident briefly attracted attention during the gathering when an individual arrived carrying a can of cockroach exterminator spray as a symbolic gesture against the organization. The person was quickly confronted by party supporters and escorted away from the protest venue.
The campaign is being spearheaded by CJP founder Abhijit Dipke, who landed in Delhi from the United States on Saturday morning. Immediately after arriving, he headed directly from the airport to the demonstration site to take charge of the ongoing agitation.
Meanwhile, authorities have significantly strengthened security arrangements around Dipke’s residence in the Waluj locality of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. Police officials stated that the enhanced deployment was implemented as a precautionary measure amid expectations that supporters and curious onlookers may gather outside the residence following Dipke’s return.
Until recently, only a single security guard had been assigned to the property. The security cover has now been expanded considerably, with a team of ten personnel, including a supervising officer, stationed in the area.
The incident involving the insecticide spray became one of the most talked-about moments of the day. Witnesses reported that the individual carrying the product branded “Hit” was prevented from remaining at the venue and was removed by CJP activists.
Although the Cockroach Janata Party has rapidly gained visibility and attracted widespread engagement across social media platforms, its future organizational direction remains uncertain. Party leaders have not yet clarified whether the movement will formally transform into a registered political party.
Political observers note that India has previously witnessed several citizen-led movements that initially emerged as campaigns against ruling establishments at both the state and national levels before eventually evolving into full-fledged political organizations. Whether CJP follows a similar trajectory remains a subject of growing public and political interest.
