Five Detained After Security Breach Attempt At Agartala Airport

A major security scare unfolded at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport after five persons were detained by CISF personnel when a speeding car allegedly tried to enter the airport through the exit gate, violating established security protocols.

The incident, which occurred inside the high-security airport zone, triggered panic and tension among security officials and airport authorities. CISF personnel immediately intercepted the vehicle and detained all five occupants for questioning.

Later, the detained youths were handed over to the local police for further investigation.

Sources identified the detained individuals as Naem Hossain, Zafar Ali, Iasin Miah, Rubel Miah and Saiful Islam. All of them are reportedly residents of Sonamura.

Police officials have so far refused to reveal further details, stating that disclosing information at this stage could hamper the ongoing investigation. Sources said law enforcement agencies are thoroughly probing the circumstances behind the attempted entry into the restricted airport area.

The incident has raised serious security concerns and attracted widespread attention across the state, particularly due to the sensitive nature of airport security arrangements.
