India Reached Women's Asia Cup Cricket Final Beating Bangladesh

Shafali Verma Powers India to 149

India made a strong start with the bat, largely driven by an aggressive innings from Shafali Verma.

The opener struck 64 from 40 deliveries, clearing the boundary seven times and hitting three sixes. Her attacking performance provided India with the platform to establish a competitive total.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur finished unbeaten on 24, while Richa Ghosh added 21 as India reached 149/6 from their 20 overs.

Bangladesh were consequently set a target of 150 for victory.

Deepti Sharma Leads India's Bowling Attack

Bangladesh struggled to maintain the required scoring rate throughout their innings.

They eventually finished at 109/7 after 20 overs, falling 40 runs short of India's total.

Deepti Sharma was India's standout bowler, returning figures of 3/26 from four overs. Nandani Sharma added further pressure at the end of the innings by taking two wickets in the final over.

India's disciplined bowling performance ensured that Bangladesh never came close to the required target.
