India Summons Iran Envoy After Indian Killed in Hormuz Attack; US-Iran Conflict Intensifies

New Delhi has taken strong diplomatic action after a deadly strike in the Strait of Hormuz claimed the life of an Indian national and injured several others. India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) summoned  Iran's Deputy Ambassador Mohammad Javad Hosseini and sought an official explanation over the incident, while expressing grave concern over the safety of Indian citizens and commercial shipping. 

The move came after two UAE-linked oil tankers were reportedly hit by Iranian cruise missiles in one of the world's busiest energy corridors. According to UAE authorities, eight crew members suffered injuries, including six Indian nationals, while one Indian sailor lost his life. 

Massive US Military Operation Targets Iranian Bases

As diplomatic tensions mounted, the United States launched a large-scale military operation against multiple Iranian military facilities. US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the offensive lasted nearly five hours and targeted strategic installations in Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konark, Abu Musa Island, and Bandar Abbas, marking another sharp escalation in the ongoing confrontation.
