Following the crucial IPL 2026 Eliminator victory, Rajasthan Royals secured their place in Qualifier 2, where they will face Gujarat Titans on May 29 in New Chandigarh. The winner of Qualifier 2 will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2026 Final scheduled for May 31 in Ahmedabad.

Batting first in the high-scoring IPL 2026 Eliminator, Rajasthan Royals posted a huge total of 243 for 8 in 20 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Young cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a sensational innings of 97 runs from just 29 balls in the IPL 2026 playoff clash. His explosive knock featured five fours and 12 sixes, making it one of the most destructive innings of the IPL 2026 season.

Opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 29 runs as Rajasthan Royals added 125 runs for the first wicket inside only 7.6 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Middle-order batter Dhruv Jurel smashed 50 runs in just 21 balls to strengthen Rajasthan Royals’ innings in the IPL 2026 Eliminator. Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag also delivered a quick-fire cameo of 26 runs in 12 balls.

Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten with 12 runs as Rajasthan Royals finished with one of the highest totals of the IPL 2026 playoffs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Fail In 244-Run Chase

Chasing a massive 244-run target in the IPL 2026 Eliminator, Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered an early batting collapse against Rajasthan Royals.

Star pacer Jofra Archer dismissed Abhishek Sharma for a duck in the opening over before removing Ishan Kishan for 33 and Travis Head for 17 to put Rajasthan Royals firmly in control of the IPL 2026 Eliminator.

Despite fighting knocks from Nitish Kumar Reddy, who scored 38 runs, and Salil Arora, who added 35 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to recover from the early setbacks.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were eventually bowled out for 196 in 19.2 overs, ending their IPL 2026 title hopes.

Jofra Archer Shines For Rajasthan Royals In IPL 2026 Eliminator

Jofra Archer emerged as the best bowler for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2026 playoff match, taking three wickets for 58 runs in four overs.

Nandre Burger, Ravindra Jadeja, and Sushant Mishra picked up two wickets each for Rajasthan Royals, while Yash Punja claimed one wicket.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Praful Hinge delivered the best bowling figures with three wickets for 54 runs in four overs during the IPL 2026 Eliminator.

Ishan Malinga, Shivang Kumar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

However, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins endured a disappointing outing, conceding 64 runs in his four overs during the IPL 2026 playoff clash.

IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 And Final Schedule

Rajasthan Royals will now face Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 on May 29 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.

The winner of the IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 match will advance to the IPL 2026 Final against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 31 in Ahmedabad.
