Modi Roadshow in Gangtok for Sikkim@50 Celebrations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday began a high-profile roadshow in Gangtok during his two-day visit to Sikkim, marking the closing ceremony of the state’s 50th year of statehood celebrations.
He arrived earlier at Libing Army Helipad, where he was received by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang and Governor Om Prakash Mathur.
Soon after, the Prime Minister launched a grand roadshow through Gangtok, joined by Prem Singh Tamang and Dilli Ram Thapa. Thousands of residents lined the streets, waving and cheering as his convoy passed, reflecting the festive spirit of the golden jubilee celebrations.
People from all sections of society gathered in large numbers, highlighting the importance of the occasion as Sikkim celebrates five decades of statehood.
The visit holds both political and symbolic significance, with the Prime Minister scheduled to attend key official programmes linked to the milestone celebrations.
