Tripura celebrates International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day has been celebrated in Tripura also on Friday. The main program was officially held at the Hapania International Fair Ground Agartala.
Chief Minister (Professor) Dr. Manik Saha was also present in this program. International Yoga Day was observed in Assam Rifle Public School also. Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu was present there.
Speaking at the Yoga Mahotsav organized at the Hapania International Fair Ground, the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that yoga is rooted in ancient Indian tradition. It keeps our body and mind healthy.
He added, this year the theme of International Yoga Day is Yoga – for self and society. Due to the continuous efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, yoga practice is now internationally recognized.
Every year 21st June is celebrated as International Yoga Day. This time also Yoga Day will be celebrated on Friday 21st June. Regular yoga is necessary to stay healthy and fit. Considering the benefits and importance of yoga in life, it has been given importance all over the world.
Apart from health, yoga is important for mental peace and concentration.
Therefore, World Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June to make people around the world aware of yoga. The initiative to celebrate Yoga Day was taken by the Prime Minister.Narendra Modi(PM Modi) and it started from India.
