Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha reviews the work of power department on Monday.
Speaking in the meeting he said:
The state government is working on multi-pronged programs to ensure uninterrupted power supply to electricity consumers.
Apart from this, importance is also being given to ensure that quality is maintained in the implementation of various projects of the Central and State Governments. In this case, if there is any problem, it should be identified and resolved quickly.
Special initiatives should be taken to implement all the projects of the central government for the development of power services in the state. Initiatives should be taken for speedy replacement of old transmission lines in all areas of the state.
There is a need to adopt awareness in the use of air conditioners (AC) to maintain the required load balance in the power transformers. The department should take initiatives to make people aware about the use of AC. Besides, importance should also be given to regular repair and maintenance of electrical transformers.
The Power Department should take special steps on how to further develop various renewable energies. Special campaigns should also be started to further increase the use of solar energy. Private and various government buildings should be encouraged to use more solar energy. Department should be more proactive in order to collect electricity bills. If necessary, initiatives should be taken to collect bills by camping in every subdivision of the state.
Moreover, if you get a call related to various electricity problems at 1912 number, you should take the initiative to solve it quickly.
In the review meeting, Power Minister Ratanlal Nath said that consumers should be made aware to pay electricity bills on time. The Power Minister also emphasized on identifying those who are using electricity illegally and taking necessary measures
