Tripura: CM Dr Manik Saha Visits Gandatuisa. Announced Relief Package

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha visited the refugee camp in Gandatuisa sub-division of Dhalai district on Sunday.
Chief Minister visited several places of Gandatuisa including Narayanpur Bazar, 33 Card area, refugee camp. CM akso went to the house of the deceased Parameshwar Reang and spoke to his family members.
The Chief Minister expressed his condolences and sympathies to the family of the deceased youth on this unexpected incident.
Later in a press conference the Chief Minister said:
The state government stands by the families affected by the recent untoward incident in Gondatuisa. The administration will ensure all assistance to them. A total of 10 lakhs will be given to the family of Parameshwar Reang, who died in the unfortunate incident. A total of Rs 3 crore 45 lakh 20 thousand financial assistance will be given to the affected families.
Apart from this, Rs 239 cr will be spent on the overall development of Gandatuisa subdivision. Under no circumstances will those creating disturbance and creating an atmosphere of panic be spared.
A young man named Parameshwar Riang was injured in an unintended incident on July 7 during the Anands Mela. He was taken to GB Hospital for better treatment and died on July 12 while under treatment. Later, centering this incident, many houses were attacked at night. Many families have to become refugees. They had to take shalter in refugee camps. Parameshwar's incident is very sad. The administration kept a close eye on the overall situation in Gandatuisa. District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police were directed to take appropriate action. The administration has been proactive in how to help the victims of the incident.
Permanent security camps will be arranged in 33 Card and 30 card areas. Security measures will be tightened in the concerned areas. Security has been beefed up in NR Das Para and Ramnagar. Rs 6 lakhs has been paid to the family of deceased Parameshwar Reang earlier. Another Rs four lakh's financial assistance will be given. 95,000 has already been given to 101 families whose houses were completely destroyed. They will be given financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh with another Rs 2 lakh 5 thousand. Another 13 affected families have been given Rs 50,000 earlier. A total of Rs 1.5 lakh will be given to them with financial assistance of another Rs one lakh. Out of the 31 families that have suffered partial damage, 18 families have been given Rs 25,000 earlier. They will be given financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand rupees with another 25 thousand . Besides, 5 families have been given Rs 20 thousand earlier. They will be given financial assistance of Rs 40 thousand with another Rs 20 thousand.
Similarly Rs 15 thousand have been given to 3 more families. Now a total of Rs 30 thousand will be given including 15 thousand more. Rs 10,000 have beengiven to 3 other affected families. They will be given a total assistance of Rs 20,000 with another Rs 10,000 . 2 more families will be given financial assistance of Rs 5000 for a total of Rs 10000 per family. A total of 145 affected families have been given Rs 1 crore 14 lakh 80 thousand. Another Rs 2 crore 30 lakh 40 thousand will be given. A total of Rs 3 crore 45 lakh 20 thousand will be given.
Rs 1 crore will be spent on the development of Narayanpur market (30 market stalls) in Gandatuisa. Rs 1 crore has been allocated for infrastructure development of Dashram Chowdhury Super Market. A total of Rs 10 crore will be spent on infrastructure development including paver block internal road, street lights, sewage system etc in Gandatuisa Bazar area. About Rs 150 crore will be spent on the development of Gandatuisa – Ambasa road. Rs 19 crore 20 lakhs will be spent on infrastructure development of Gandatuisa Sub-Divisional Hospital. Rs 12 crores have been allocated for the development of Hatimatha – Dalpati road (9 km). Rs 8 crore will be spent on road development from Ranjitpara to Budhujoy Para (5 km). Rs 7.5 crore will be spent on the development of Jamatia Para road (3 km). Rs 6 crores will be spent to construct synthetic turf ground at Gandatuisa XII School. Rs 5 crores have been allocated for development of fisheries in Dambur reservoir and Rs 5 crores for construction of drug rehab center with 50 beds. Rs 5 crores will be spent on the development of school infrastructure (smart classrooms, furniture etc.) in Gandatuisa. Rs 3 crore will be spent for construction of 15 MT solar powered micro cold storage for mango growers. Cold storage and cold chamber will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore for fish preservation. Rs 2 crore will be spent on the construction of indoor badminton court. Rs 1 crore 3 million rupees will be spent on the development of 10 Anganwadi centers. Besides, CCTV cameras will be installed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh to strengthen the security system in Gandatuisa market area. A total of Rs 239 crore 10 lakh has been allocated for the development of Gandatuisa. A total of Rs 3 crore 45 lakh 20 thousand has been allocated as rehabilitation assistance. Total expenditure in these two sectors will be Rs 242 crore 55 lakh 20 thousand.
