Tripura CM Urges People Not To Panic Over Fuel Availability

Manik Saha has assured residents that there is an adequate stock of fuel available across the state and urged people not to panic or purchase petrol and diesel beyond their actual needs.

The Chief Minister stated that the fuel supply situation in Tripura remains stable and there is no shortage of petrol or diesel anywhere in the state.

Appealing to the public to remain calm, he asked citizens not to create unnecessary rush at fuel stations by hoarding fuel. According to him, people should purchase only the quantity required for regular use.

Since yesterday, long queues have been witnessed at several petrol pumps across the state following concerns over rising fuel prices. A large number of consumers have reportedly rushed to fuel stations to stock extra petrol and diesel, causing inconvenience to regular customers.

Meanwhile, the state’s Food Minister also clarified that fuel reserves in Tripura are sufficient and that the supply chain is functioning normally without disruption.

He said the overcrowding at petrol pumps is mainly due to panic buying by a section of people, which is creating avoidable difficulties for the general public and complicating the situation unnecessarily.

The state government has appealed to citizens to stay aware, avoid panic buying and cooperate in maintaining normalcy at fuel stations.
