Tripura TET Recruitment: Qualified Candidates Protest at TRBT Office, Demands Immediate Appointments

Frustration among candidates who qualified in the Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024 escalated on Monday as hundreds assembled outside the Teachers' Recruitment Board, Tripura TRBT office, demanding immediate action to complete the long-pending teacher recruitment process.
The demonstrators, representing both Graduate Teacher (GT) and Undergraduate Teacher (UGT) categories, submitted a memorandum to the TRBT Chairman seeking urgent intervention. They urged the recruitment board to release the recommend (merit) list without further delay and accelerate the appointment process.

Candidates Seek Merit List and Fresh Recruitment Notification
The protesters stressed that the publication of the merit list should be followed by fresh recruitment notifications to provide opportunities for all remaining eligible candidates awaiting appointments. According to them, prolonged delays have created uncertainty and negatively affected the careers of thousands of qualified teaching aspirants across the state.
They also appealed to the authorities to complete the recruitment process within a fixed timeline, ensuring transparency and fairness at every stage.
Protesters Demand Official Timeline
Speaking to the media during the demonstration, one candidate said the agitation would continue until the authorities officially announce a date for publishing the merit list.

Aspirants Travel Across Tripura
Candidates from various districts, including remote areas in northern and southern Tripura, travelled to Agartala to participate in the protest. Their large turnout reflected growing concern among TET-qualified candidates over the prolonged recruitment delay.
The demonstration has intensified pressure on TRBT, with aspirants demanding greater transparency, accountability, and speedy appointments to vacant teaching posts.
