Vote Counting Scheduled for October 5
The counting of votes for the Village Committee elections will begin at 8 AM on October 5.

The State Election Commission has maintained the overall election timetable, with counting scheduled to take place on October 5.
Tripura Village Committee Election Records 81.21% Turnout
At Tuesday's press conference, State Election Commissioner P.K. Chakraborty also stated that the overall voter turnout in the Tripura Village Committee elections stood at 81.21 percent.
The turnout figure comes after polling across the Village Committee areas on September 28. Earlier during polling day, the Commission had reported that around 79 percent voting had been recorded by the scheduled closing time, while voters who were still standing in queues were allowed to cast their ballots after receiving slips.
Why Was Re-Polling Ordered?
The State Election Commission's decision followed reports concerning disturbances at polling locations during the Village Committee election.
After receiving and examining reports from the Returning Officers, the Commission concluded that fresh polling was required in the three affected seats.
The re-poll order is limited to the identified constituencies and does not alter the voting process across the rest of the Village Committee election.
TTAADC Village Committee Elections 2026
