US Warns Iran of Devastating Attack Within 48 Hours

On the eve of his April 6 deadline, US President Donald Trump sharply escalated rhetoric against Iran, declaring that “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day,” while warning of unprecedented strikes on Iranian infrastructure in retaliation for the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump had earlier, on March 21, threatened to “obliterate” Iran’s power infrastructure—beginning with its largest facility—if Tehran failed to reopen the Strait by April 6.

In a subsequent social media post, the US President described Monday as “Bridge Day” and issued a stark warning to the Iranian leadership, cautioning that they would be “living in hell.” The message concluded with the phrase “Praise be to Allah.”

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it. Open the Strait, or you will be living in hell—just watch,” Trump wrote, intensifying the already charged atmosphere.

Although Trump had initially issued the threat two weeks earlier, he extended the deadline twice, citing encouraging signals from ongoing negotiations with Tehran. However, tensions have sharply intensified following recent incidents in which Iran reportedly downed multiple US aircraft—including an F-15E fighter jet and two C-130 military transport planes—prompting American rescue operations for two pilots and triggering renewed warnings from the White House.

The latest escalation came shortly after Trump reiterated that Iran had just 48 hours to either strike a deal with Washington or face overwhelming military retaliation.

“Time is running out—48 hours before all hell breaks loose,” Trump warned, underscoring the rapidly deteriorating situation.
