Virat Reaches Mumbai for Anushka’s Birthday

Indian cricket star Virat Kohli arrived in Mumbai on Friday to celebrate the 38th birthday of his wife, actor Anushka Sharma. Kohli reached Mumbai after featuring in the IPL 2026 clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. He was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Friday morning, where paparazzi greeted him and asked him to wish Anushka a happy birthday.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in Italy on December 11, 2017, in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends. The couple has two children — daughter Vamika, born on January 11, 2021, and son Akay, born on February 15, 2024.

Recently, the celebrity couple visited the ashram of spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on April 19. During the visit, they sought blessings and attended a satsang delivered by Premanand Maharaj.

According to reports, Virat and Anushka reached the Varaha Ghat ashram of Sant Hit Gaurangi Sharan Maharaj, the guru of Premanand Maharaj, at around 10 am. After spending time at the ashram and attending the spiritual discourse, the couple returned to their hotel before leaving around 11 am.

The couple reportedly appeared in simple attire and maintained a low profile throughout the visit. Without any VIP arrangements, they sat on the floor among ordinary devotees and listened attentively to the satsang for a long time. They remained quiet during the session and did not ask any questions.

Virat and Anushka have now met Premanand Maharaj six times. Their first meeting with the spiritual leader took place on January 4, 2023. Reports stated that this was their fifth visit in the last 16 months. The couple had also visited the ashram shortly after the birthday of their son Akay on February 16. In 2025, they reportedly visited the ashram three times — once in January with their children, again in May, and later in December.
