Voting In West Tripura LS Constituency From 7am - 5pm. 144 Imposed

Voting will be held in 793 polling stations of West Tripura district for the upcoming Lok SabhaDistrict Magistrate of West Tripura district Dr. Vishal Kumar has banned assembly of five or more people with or w elections on Friday April 19, 2024 from 7 am to 5 pm.
From that point of view, so that no evil forces can distribute money and other rewards among the electors for the purpose of taking political advantage and the anti-social elements do not break the law and order, the District Magistrate of West Tripura district Dr. Vishal Kumar has banned assembly of five or more people with or without arms or with sticks, iron rods, bamboos, stones under Section 144 of CPC-1973.
He also banned public meetings, rallies, gatherings, public meetings with or without loudspeakers within 200 meters of polling stations and within West Tripura district.
This prohibition also includes the movement of two or more motor bikes or vehicles.
Moreover, no one can enter the polling station on election day without the permission of the voter and the election officer in charge.
As per the guidelines of the Election Commission, this ban has been imposed to ensure free and peaceful elections.
Excluded from this ban are- 1) Election workers, CAPFs, Police, their vehicles used, drivers, cleaners and media workers with proper permits engaged in election related work.
2) Electors coming to vote on foot or in their own vehicles or to vote in polling station premises. Standing electors.
3) Those electors carrying photo identity cards who will come within 200 meters radius of the polling station with their family members in their vehicles. However, other than family members cannot be brought in the car.
4) Government Servants/CAPF/Armed Security Personnel on duty.
5) Gathering in educational institutions for educational purposes during the day.
6) Employees engaged in regular work of Government or Private Institutions.
7) Normal passenger vehicles except for taking to polling station for voting.
8) Gatherings or social functions at any religious place due to religious functions such as weddings, birthdays, etc., but no cash or material items can be distributed on these occasions.
9) Markets/daily or normal activities of religious institutions except for political or criminal gatherings.
10) Vehicle used by the election candidate authorized by the Returning Officer or any competent election authority.
11) Provision of drinking water to the visitors/voters by some.
12) Disabled voters will be provided wheelchair facilities to facilitate the voting process.
This order of the District Magistrate shall be in force from 5:00 PM on April 17, 2024 to 6:00 AM on April 20, 2024.
Punishable action under section 188 of IPC can be taken against the violators of the order.
