” This is a history in Indian politics that Aam Aadmi Party gets recognition of National Party within 10 years of launching”

“We appeal to all the people to join this glorious party”.

The Election Commission has recognized AAP as a national party on April 10.

If we talk about nationally recognized parties in the country, then a total of 6 parties have got the status of national party. It includes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Indian National Congress (INC), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) ie CPIM, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the National People’s Party (NPP) and now the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The commission said that AAP has been given the status as a national party on the basis of its electoral performance in four states Delhi, Goa, Punjab and Gujarat.

Various categories have been kept to become a national party. In which the first is that any party should have about 11 Lok Sabha seats at least in three states.

Apart from this, there is also a category that if a party joins the category of state party in 4 states, then it gets national recognition.

Now to join the category of state party, the party has to get 6 percent votes/2 seats in a state assembly election. If his vote percentage is less than 6 then the number of seats should be 3.

When a party gets the status of a national party, then on behalf of the Election Commission of India, the Election Commission either gives a building or gives land to open the central office in Delhi.

After the formation of a national party, the election symbol of that party becomes reserved forever.

A national party can field 40 of its star campaigners to campaign in elections. Its expenditure is out of the expenditure of the candidates.

A fixed time is also available for campaigning on Doordarshan and All India Radio.
