The Mumbai police has arrested Arnab Goswami, the Editor-in-Chief of the Republic TV, for allegedly abetting suicide of a 53-year-old interior designer, reported the PTI. The case relates to the suicide of 53 year old interior designer Anvay Naik, which was allegedly due to the non-payment of dues by Arnab Goswami. Though the case was earlier closed, the Maharashtra Home Minister said in May 2020 that he will order further investigation into it. He has been arrested in a case which has now been re-opened after being closed earlier, reported the Republic TV. The cops entered the residence of Goswami on Wednesday morning and took him into custody. Goswami claimed that the police assaulted him physically.
