Academic activities and session of this year has finally started in the Agartala Government Dental College from Friday.
A total of 17 students were present in the College on the first day. It is said to be a dream project of Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha.
Once he took oath as the Chief Minister of the state he has made sure that the Dental College is established as early as possible and the work for the same was completed in a very less amount of time.
The newly appointed Prin- cipal of Agartala Government Dental College Dr Shalu Rai informed that Counseling is taking place at the present mo-ment.
A total of 23 more students will join the College within the next one week. Dr Shalu Rai further said that there are some infrastructural problems which are still present in the College while Coun- seling is taking place on the same.
Once everything is proper and it will be done in the next one month then the classes in the only Dental College of the state will take place in full swing.
There are some students from the state and also from other states who have shown their interest to take admission in the College and the College authority is in touch with them.
