The proceedings of both the Houses of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, were adjourned for the whole day on Friday amid Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s London statement and other controversies.
Now the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be held on Monday.
Meanwhile, the leaders of the opposition have sat down to protest in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament House.
Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are also included in this. The second phase of the budget session of Parliament has been full of uproar so far.
The central government is besieging Rahul Gandhi for his statements made in London. The ruling party is constantly demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi.
At the same time, the Congress says that Rahul Gandhi did not say anything wrong, so the question of apology does not arise.
Opposition leaders in Delhi protest in front of the Gandhi statue in Parliament demanding a JPC probe into the Adani case. Congress MP and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge joined the protest.
Earlier, BJP President J. P. Nadda alleged that Rahul Gandhi has become a “permanent part of the toolkit” of those working against India. At the same time, he said that the Congress leader will have to apologize for seeking ‘interference’ from foreign forces in India’s internal affairs.
Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said on the issue of Rahul Gandhi that “Rahul Gandhi sometimes speaks the truth. As he said yesterday, “Unfortunately, he is an MP. In true sense, he is an unfortunate MP, because he is a part of the House and is working to defame it. If he is in the House, he might be able to do something. It is not known that the House is governed by procedures and policies. I had also brought the booklets of the rules to be given to him, but if he is in the House, it would be understood that he does not read at all. He rarely comes to the Parliament. It has become his habit to tell one lie after another. You lie and show here that you are bigger than the House, bigger than the country, it is not so. For this he should apologize unconditionally”.
Regarding the non-functioning of the House, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said
“what mistakes or sins Rahul Gandhi has committed, the people of the government should say this. This discussion should happen inside the House, when the House is in progress. When this biggest panchayat is going on, why is it not being discussed here? Instead of talking inside the House, why are you talking nonsense outside?”
“Rahul Gandhi came to the House and kept sitting, wanted to speak, but was not given a chance to speak. Did we also demand from the speaker that Rahul Gandhi should be given a chance to speak? There should be a discussion in the house. If anything comes against us, then it is the best place inside the House, but the ruling party is presenting a very wrong conduct. Why should people be misled by speaking out. We had moved away from the bell when the speaker spoke, but the members of the ruling party kept shouting. Why should we apologize or go? Rahul Gandhi has the right to answer or not? This is a part of the process of the House, if allegations are leveled against someone, then they have every right to speak. Who is saying what, what is the lie, when the discussion goes on, then it will be known. It should be just that they do not want debate inside the house, the house is being adjourned under the patronage of the government, this is a new scene” Adhir added.
