A lawyer has finally been arrested in connection with the murder of a Muhuri (Clark) Amit Acharjee, who died in the court premises .
Lawyer Gopal Singh, one of the accused, has been arrested.
The police produced the accused before the court on Monday.
According to the report the c
lark and lawyer got involved in a fight in the court premises due to previous issues .
Allegedly, two lawyers beat Amit Acharjee, a licensed muhuri in the court. A fatal attack was carried out on him in the district court. This incident happened on September 5.
Muhuri Amit Acharjee was seriously injured in the attack . He was admitted to GBP Hospital. After 7 days on 12 September he was taken out of Tripura for better treatment.
Amit Acharjee, died in the early hours of September 23 while undergoing treatment.
Dilip Acharjee, father of deceased Amit Acharjee, filed a case at West Agartala Police Station regarding this incident on September 23.
Deceased’s father complaint that every thing will be clear if seen in the CCTV footage of the court.
Meanwhile, 5 people involved in this incident gave cover. Finally, the police got information on Sunday that Gopal Singh, one of the accused lawyers, had been spotted in the vicinity of his house.
Accordingly, the police conducted a raid and arrested lawyer Gopal Singh. Police said the rest of the accused are absconding.
However, the police have collected all the information.
