The officer working in the post of Superintendent of Agriculture under Khowai Sub-Divisional Agriculture Department was attacked by miscreants in broad daylight.
According to the details of the incident, miscreants attacked him in front of a rented house in Khowai BPC Para area around 11 am on Thursday.
The victim identified as Biprajit Barua. Meanwhile local residents rescued and took him to Khowai District Hospital.
But as he was critical he was referred to GBP Hospital Agartala. He is currently under treatment at GBP Hospital.
Police registered a case regarding this incident.
