The All India Democratic Women’s Association demanded a proper investigation into the unusual death of a 15-year-old minor in the name of Shudhikaran.
Leader of the organization Rama Das said in a press conference that the incident that took place in Sabroom with the minor girl of Jayanagar area is very pathetic. The minor girl has been subjected to physical and mental torture in purgatory.
Regarding the responsibility of the Women’s Commission, she said that since 2018, the State Women’s Commission has no role played on crime against women incidents. The incident that took place recently is like destroying the unity of the state. An example of women’s oppression.
It may be noted that a minor girl was involved in a relationship with a young man from West Bengal a few months ago. Then her parents admitted the girl to the purification home of Sabroom to show her the right direction. BJP leader Biplab Sen, the owner of the purgatory, assured that the 15-year-old minor girl would be cured.
But after three days of admission, the girl tried to commit suicide by hanging. The girl was rescued and taken to a local hospital from where she was referred to GBP Hospital Agartala.
This minor girl, a resident of Jaynagar area, died on Saturday after fighting for her life for the past few days.
The minor girl was a student of Shankaracharya Vidyaniketan. Former MP Jharna Das Vaidya and other leaders were also present in the organized press conference.
