A stampede broke out during the roadshow of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu.
It is feared that 8 people have died in this incident.
A public meeting was organized at Kandukuru in Nellore district on Wednesday.
During this, there was a scuffle between the party workers, due to which the condition of stampede was created.
Naidu was visiting the district as part of his party’s campaign and thousands of supporters had gathered at Kandukur to welcome him.
Naidu left the road show midway after the incident and went to the hospital where the injured have been admitted.
He announced a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the accident.
