Asian Champions Trophy Hockey: India Knock Out Pakistan With 4-0 Win

A spectacular match was played between the Indian team and Pakistan in the Asian Champions Trophy (ACT) on Wednesday (August 9). 

This match was one-sided, in which the Indian team crushed Pakistan badly and broke the dream of reaching the semi-finals. 

The Indian team dominated the match from the very beginning and eventually won the match 4-0. 

Harmanpreet Singh scored the first and second goals for the Indian team. He scored these goals in the 15th and 23rd minutes. It was from here that pressure was created on Pakistan.

After this, Jugraj Singh scored 1-1 goals in the 36th minute and Akashdeep Singh in the 55th minute to put Pakistan on the brink of a complete defeat. In the whole match, the Pakistan team did not appear to give any competition. 

In this way, after winning this match, the Indian team has entered the semi-finals by being on top of the points table.

The Pakistan team had to win only this match to reach the semi-finals, but it could not succeed in that also. Indian star players broke Pakistan badly by scoring 1-1 goals in all the four quarters of the match.

Notably a total of 6 teams including India and Pakistan are playing in this tournament. Out of this the teams of Pakistan and China have been eliminated. 

Everyone played equal 5-5 matches in the group stage. In this, Korea, Japan and Pakistan had equal 5-5 points. While China could take only one point.

If Pakistan had won the match against India, it would have easily reached the semi-finals.   Indian team reached the semi-finals by being on top with 13 points. The team has not lost a single match. Malaysia is at number two, with 12 points.
