Assembly Elections: 300 Companies Central Forces To Be Deployed In Tripura

The Election Commission of India is going to deploy about 300 companies of central forces keeping in mind the assembly polls of Tripura.

In the first phase, several forces are coming to Tripura (Tripura assembly polls) next week.

Since the last assembly election, Tripura has become politically heated several times.

Opposition political parties are allegedly under attack.

Opposition leaders-activists even had to be beaten while campaigning. And looking at that, the election commission is careful now.

And that is why the commission has started sending forces to Tripura slowly.

However, the commission claims, there is no specific security risk. It has been informed by the commission that the force is being sent to this northeastern state in adadvance to conduct transparent and free voting.

The central forces will gradually start coming to Tripura from next week. The officer of the commission said that these forces will be brought by train from different parts of the country.

Initially, 100 company forces will gradually come to Agartala.

This includes jawans of CRPF, BSF, ITBP and CISF.

The official of the commission said that the remaining 200 companies will come during the force selection.

It should be noted that the 2018 assembly elections were also held in Tripura under the siege of 300 companies of central forces.
