Transport Minister of Tripura Sushant Chowdhury gave a stern warning to cancel the permit if there is misbehave with the passengers.
A high-level meeting was held on Wednesday in the conference hall of the old passenger terminal building of the MBB airport in Agartala in the presence of high-ranking officials of the administration.
The meeting was attended by Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Tripura Road Transport Corporation Chairman Abhijit Deb, Transport Department Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma, Commissioner Subrata Chowdhury, MBB Airport Director Kailas Chandrameena, Tripura Police IG Monchak Yappa, Additional District Commissioner of West Tripura District Rajib Dutta, West Tripura District Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K, West Tripura District Traffic Police Superintendent Manik Das, Chief Motor Vehicle Inspector Bijay Debbarma and others.
On this day, the bad auto service at the airport and the grandstanding of the auto drivers were discussed.
A delegation from auto drivers of MBB Airport was also present in the meeting. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury expressed his strong displeasure over the harassment by auto drivers at MBB airport.
Minister Sushants Chowdhury warned the auto drivers saying that the administrative officials do not have time to hold regular meetings with the auto drivers. Auto drivers who misbehave with passengers will have their permits revoked.
He warned that auto and taxi services will be started immediately through private agencies if the auto drivers do not fix it on their own.
