The name of Tripura highlighted due to the ‘Bash Gram’, developed entirely by private initiative.
Bash Gram won the title along with 31 other best tourism villages-2023 of the country.
Wednesday was Tourism Day. On this occasion, the Union Ministry of Tourism announced the names of the best tourism villages of 2023.
Manna Roy, one of the officials of Bash Gram, was given a special award in a function in New Delhi.
Bash Gram was built in Katlamara area of Mohanpur subdivision under West Tripura District with the challenge of promote the potential of rural tourism in the state.
That was Year 2017. A few cottages were built using the beautiful scenery of nature on three sides including tea gardens. Various types of bamboo plantations including Kanak Kaich are planted over a large area.
Bash Gram has gradually become the main destination for people who are thirsty for travel. Tourists have the opportunity to stay overnight in the cottage.
Avoiding the hustle and bustle of the city and the life of brick, stone, dust, people flock to Bash Gram to take a breath of relief in the green.
