Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday drew the attention of the countrymen towards the increasing cases of Covid-19 infection in many countries and advised them to be alert, safe and careful.
Sharing his thoughts in the 96th and last episode of this year’s monthly radio program “Mann Ki Baat” of All India Radio, the Prime Minister said, “At this time many people are also in a holiday mood. Enjoy the festivals and these occasions a lot, but also be a little cautious. You are also seeing that corona is increasing in many countries of the world. That’s why we have to take more care of precautions like mask and hand washing”
PM Modi said, “If we are careful, we will also be safe and there will be no hindrance in our enthusiasm.”
This advice of the Prime Minister has come at a time when cases of corona virus infection have increased in many countries of the world including China, Japan, South Korea.
In view of this, Modi had also held a high-level review meeting with senior ministers and top officials of the central government recently.
It is known that in the last 24 hours, 227 new cases of Covid-19 came in India, while the number of patients under treatment increased to 3,424.
According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry at eight o’clock on Sunday morning, the total number of infection cases in India has increased to 4,46,77,106.
At the same time, due to the loss of life of two more patients, the death toll in the country has increased to 5,30,693.
These include one case of death reconciled by Kerala. At the same time, in the last 24 hours, one person has died due to the virus in Maharashtra.
