BJP Candidates Will Win By-Polls: Tripura CM Manik Saha

Tofajal Hossain and Bindu Debnath have been nominated by the BJP for the upcoming by-polls of 20 Boxnagar and 23 Dhanpur assembly constituencies. 

On Thursday, the two candidates went to submit their nomination papers under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharya in a festive mood.

In the front row were Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik. Candidate Tofajal Hossain came to Sonamura in a huge bike rally from Boxanagar. 

On the other hand, candidate Bindu Debnath came to Sonamura with a huge bike rally from Dhanpur. Supporters of BJP organized a huge rally with two candidates in Sonamura city. 

Later, the candidates submitted the nomination papers to the Returning Officer at the office of Sonamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate. 

Speaking in support of the two candidates, the Chief Minister said that he is optimistic that Tofajal Hussain and Bindu Debnath will be sent to the Holy Assembly by winning the votes of the people of Boxanagar and Dhanpur in the upcoming by-elections. Because the Prime Minister said to give diamond models to the people of the state.

“After the establishment of this government, it is working to give that diamond model. This government believes in work. Due to which the people of the state have given victory to the Bharatiya Janata Party in most of the elections held in the last five years” said CM. 

The Chief Minister also said that in the last assembly session, the situation was heated up by sending extremely violent MLAs to the holy assembly. So the people have to decide who will be sent to the holy assembly to speak for the people. 

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that there is no place for such unruly people in the Bharatiya Janata Party. 

On Thursday the last day,  two independent candidates also filed nomination papers. They are MD Salim and Ratan Hussain, a total of four candidates including CPIM and BJP candidates filed their nomination papers for the Boxanagar Assembly constituency. 

Apart from BJP candidate Bindu Debnath, Anil Riang, Bappi Debnath and Anisur Rahman filed their nomination papers as independent candidates for 23 Dhanpur Assembly Constituencies. 

A total of five candidates including CPIM and BJP candidates filed their nomination papers for Dhanpur assembly seat .

 Candidates’ nomination papers scrutiny will be on Friday. August 21 is the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers.
