“BJP led Center and States Government refused BRU’s demand of repatriation in their own land. They made a quartet agreement with out consulting with main opposition party CPIM. CPIM already protested such decision of BJP led Central as well as state and Mizoram Government.” In a press statement said CPIM State Secretariat Committee on Thursday. In the statement party also said that till from 1997 CPIM led Tripura Government repeatedly tried to solve the problem but neither Congress led Central Government nor BJP led NDA government took step to solve it. In 1999 also BJP led NDA government didn’t took any step to solve it. In 2004 when UPA came in the center they also leave the matter hanging. In 2014 BJP once again came in power. After all efforts of CPIM led left front government neither Center nor Mizoram created any situation to repatriate the BRU’s in their land. “Every time CPIM considered this matter in humanity ground. State government has to ensure the interest of the permanent residents while resettlement of the BRU’s in Tripura. Agitators also must solve this problem discussing with central as well as state government” said CPIM. Meanwhile in a press meet called by Joint Movement Committee on Thursday said that strike will be continue till government gives permanent solution of BRU resettlement.
