Manik Das alias Kala Manik of Bilonia arrested. Police sent him to court on Wednesday.
Manik Das is the vice-president of SC Morcha state committee of BJP.
A case was registered against him in Bilonia police station. He was sent to the court after applying for police remand by Bilonia police station.
On Wednesday, Chief Session Judge of the Bilonia court Dulal Chandra Shukladas ordered accused Manik Das to be remanded to police custody for two days.
After reaching the court, due to the physical illness of Manik Das, the doctor came and examined him on the orders of the court.
In addition to police remand, he was ordered to be examined by a doctor at regular intervals.
A case was registered against Manik Das under sections 448, 452, 325, 307, 382, 354, 120(b) and 506 of the Indian Penal Code at Bilonia police station.
On this day, the police sent the case diary to the court.
According to the report a dispute broke out with Manik Das and Joydeb Saha, a resident of the area, over the management of the Ananda Mela in a small field adjacent to Bilonia Jagannath House. Jaydeb Saha is the secretary of BJP Bilonia Mandal Yuva Morcha.
Allegedly, a dispute started over the share of income from the Anandamela. Jaideb Saha filed a case at Bilonia police station and complained against Manik Das that Manik Das and many others attacked his house on Monday night. Vandalized and beat him. Ransacked in the house.
Saha also complained that Das also attacked his mother.
After the incident Joydeb lodged complaint against Manik Das with the police station. Police summoned Manik Das to Bilonia police station on Wednesday.
Later, Manik Das was arrested on the same day and sent to the court by the police.
All in all, the internal conflict between the leaders of the ruling party in Bilonia came to light in the concerned circles.
