BSF DG Dr. Sujoy Lal Thaosen on his visit to Tripura. He held discussions with the officials of Border Guard Bangladesh and BSF officials working in the state. He also met the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary.
BSF DG Dr. Thaosen visited Tripura on March 16. He is accompanied by ADG(EC) Sonali Mishra. He was received by the IG of BSF Tripura Frontier. He then had a courtesy call on Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Chief Secretary JK Sinha.
During his visit to Tripura, BCF DG visited various border areas. He visited Deepak BOP where barbed wire fencing is not completed and single row fencing work at NC Nagar.
He participated in the Warden Conference at NC Nagar BOP. He then visited Agartala-Akhaura ICP.
There he was felicitated by the regional commander of BGB Sarali . Officials of the two countries held lengthy discussions on border security.
Basically, there was a detailed discussion between the top officials of the two border guarding forces to coordinate issues related to border management, prevention of drug smuggling.
BSF DG Dr. Thaosen also spoke to the jawans of the force on duty at the Indo-Bangla international border. Learned from them about various problems in the field of border security. He thanked them for working hard day and night in border security
