Budget 2021 Can’t Lift Farm Sector: AIKS Tripura

Union budget 2021 can’t lift the farm sector even failed to fulfill the farmers expectations, Said All India Kisan Sabha AIKS Tripura unit. On Tuesday in a press conference AIKS said ” There was Rs. 75 Thousands Crore of Budget Allocation in PM Kisan Scheme on 2020-21. But actual expenditure was only Rs 65 Thousands. Government failed to spend Rs 10 Thousands Crore for farmer’s interest in this scheme. There was Rs 27 Thousands Crore Budget allocation in 2019-20 in PM Krishi Sinchan Yojna. Budget expenditure was Rs 4 Thousands cr, but actual expenditure was Rs 2563 cr. Government is failure to reach the farm goal”. Our demand is separate MSP for separate crops. But government yet to decide on it. According to the finance minister only 1.54 crore farmers are under MSP which is a very small number from our farmers community. 70% among 130 crore are farmers. Moreover government not providing any money to FCI. FCI is running of loans from the private players to procure crops” added AIKS.
