The ruling party BJP seems desperate to win the Boxanagar assembly constituency in the upcoming by-elections to be held on September 5.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha holds a padyatra in Mainama of 20 Boxnagar Assembly Constituency along with the party leadership and workers in support of the BJP nominated candidate Tafazzal Hussain.
On this day, the Chief Minister expressed hope that despite the inclement weather, seeing the great enthusiasm of the local people, the BJP will win with a huge vote in this area.
Later in a market meeting 36 voters of 10 families joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of CM Dr Manik Saha.
