The Supreme Court has refused to direct transfer of contributions made to the PM Cares Fund for Covid-19 pandemic to National Disaster Response Fund today. In its order on the utilisation of PM Cares Fund for national disaster management, that PM Cares Fund money cannot be directed to be deposited or transferred to the National Disaster Relief Fund. “The PM Cares fund is valid as a public charitable fund. There is no need to transfer all contributions to NDRF,” the apex Court said on Tuesday. The court also said there is no need for a new plan and that one under the National Disaster Management Act, made by the government last November, is enough to deal with COVID-19
